Claim It Help was created after I went through the insurance claims process myself — and realized how common this experience is for homeowners.


I quickly learned that filing a claim involves more than reporting damage. Homeowners are responsible for documenting what was affected and clearly presenting the full scope of the loss. If something isn’t properly documented, it often isn’t considered — and that can directly impact the payout and the ability to restore your home to its pre‑loss condition.

Adjusters play an important role, but their initial estimate is based on a limited snapshot in time. It’s a starting point, not always the full picture. And no one knows that picture better than the homeowner. You know how your home looked, functioned, and what was there before the damage.

Many homeowners don’t realize that claims can be updated and strengthened as they evolve. Additional documentation can be submitted when damage is missed, discovered later, or better detailed. In my case, that process uncovered additional damage that would have otherwise gone undocumented — representing thousands of dollars that would have been missed.
